Land Trust Plants Tree for Earth Day

The New Canaan Land Trust planted an 18ft Pin Oak on the 21-Acre Colhoun Meadow and Woodlands to celebrate Earth Day. Pictured from L-R are Tom Cronin, John Geiger, Siw DeGysser, Chris Schipper and Art Berry.  John Geiger of Geigers Home & Garden, newly arrived on Frogtown Road,  provided planting assistance and guidance to the Trust.  "The Land Trust will continue a program of tree planting." said Chris Schipper, "After Superstorm Sandy decimated our woodlands, it is heartening to plant this oak tree that we expect will live 100 years or more."
