Evening Stroll on Nancy Watson- Symington Woodlands

I took a leisurely stroll around NWSW this evening just before dusk, which reminded me that the best time to see wildlife is dawn or dusk. I pushed 6 deer in various places, heard more. Birdlife was lively - woodpeckers being the most vocal. Turkeys clucking in the dense brush. As Fall starts you can see more deeply into the woods - the setting sunlight filtering through the trees was lovely. The ferns are fading to a warm rust-yellow color. The trail looks good. The Old Orchard at the top is in full fruit. Nice to walk and just enjoy the time.
